Chungking Mansions, Hong Kong

Here's something I drew a while ago, the infamous Chungking Mansions of 36-44 Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong. I rather like this Time.com description, "the great sleepless citadel." Apparently 5000 people live in it's 17 storeys. I thought I'd post it since last time I visited I was surprised to see that it's been cleaned up and repainted almost beyond recognition.

I Dream of Ice Cream Weather

Okay, so here's a snapshot of what I've been drawing the last few days. It's pretty much ready for scanning and colouring. Sometimes I'm so glad to be putting the pen down.

Going round in Circles

This is how I feel sometimes. I drew this about a year ago whilst having a go at Little Red Riding Hood. Oh, poor Mr. Wolf, where oh where can that little girl be?

Just a little sketch of the inhabitants of my staircase. Only one of those pairs is mine and those trainers at the bottom are a bit of a mystery.

I've a few new prints coming soon so here's how one of them came about over the course of several days building the scene bit by bit.

I'll be posting the finished piece a little later.

Who lives in a house like this?

Interiors are my latest endeavour. With my trusty new Faber-Castell Pitt pen I'm exploring imaginary homes. It'll be nice to get a little colour on this.

Here's a few doodles for good measure.
